Preparation

Before you begin your application, please prepare answers of no more than 200 words for the following four questions:
  1. Explain why you want to become a teacher. What impact do you hope to have on your learners and community, and what experiences have inspired your decision?
  2. Describe how you approach studying and managing your learning over time. Give an example of a time you committed yourself to learning something challenging, whether at school, in further studies, or in your own life. How did you do this, and what did it teach you about your ability to succeed in future studies?
  3. Describe a time you learned something valuable from someone else (a mentor, teacher, fellow learner/student). How did this shape your understanding of teaching, and how will it guide your growth as an educator?
  4. Tell us about a time you actively served a community through teaching, volunteering, leadership, or mentorship. What impact did your service have, and how does it reflect your vision of being more than a teacher?
